Carmel School requires that both students and parents willingly comply with all school rules, regulations, and expectations.
Students must wear the prescribed school uniform whenever they come to school. Those who fail to do so may be excluded from class or even sent home.
Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, disobedience, disrespect towards staff members, or any behaviour that exerts a negative moral influence may lead to dismissal. Students are accountable to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school premises.
Repeated absence, or absence for more than fourteen consecutive days without a proper leave application, will result in the student’s name being struck off the rolls.
Special arrangements for examinations cannot be made for students who are absent for any reason. In case of leave during oral or written exams, students will not be eligible for grades, ranks, or awards in that respective examination.
A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue studies in this school.
Any student found resorting to unfair means during examinations will not be allowed to continue their studies in the next academic session.
Students are not permitted to remain absent on the closing day, reopening day, or on any day when a school function or important activity is scheduled.
Parents and students are required to follow all rules and guidelines as stated in the School Diary.
Students are strictly prohibited from bringing motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, or similar vehicles to school.
Students are also not allowed to bring mobile phones to school. If a student is caught using a mobile phone, it will be confiscated and returned only at the end of the academic session.
A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for promotion to the next class.
